How to nail your
Livi manicure
We get it. There's a learning curve.
Welcome to your go-to guide for mastering your at-home mani with confidence and style! From prep secrets to pro techniques, we’ve broken down everything you need to know to achieve salon-quality results—no appointments required.
What’s the best way to apply the gels to avoid lifting?
Press down thoroughly, especially along the edges of your nails. A firm press ensures the gels stick completely, minimizing the chance of lifting over time
How do I make sure hairs don’t catch under the gels after a few days?
For the longest wear, get as close to your cuticles as possible without touching them. For extra precision, we recommend tucking the wrap slightly under the cuticle.
How do I prepare my nails for the best adhesion?
Prep your nails by shaping them with the file and push back your cuticles with your cuticle stick. Clean your nails with the prep pad (included).
How many times should I cure the gels under the lamp?
To keep your gels flexible and long-lasting, cure them under the lamp twice—no more, no less! Over-curing can make the wraps too rigid, which can lead to cracks or breaks.
Can I make the gels last even longer?
Absolutely! Apply a top coat after a few days to extend the life of your manicure. It’ll refresh the shine and add an extra layer of durability.
Are there any products I should avoid right after applying the gels?
Yes! Avoid hand lotion, oils, or excessive hand washing for about 30 minutes after application. This allows the gels to set properly for the longest wear possible.
