Step 1: Oil

Generously apply the cuticle oil around your nails, focusing on the edges where the gel meets your natural nail. Don’t be shy—the more oil, the better.

PRo tip: If you’re out of cuticle oil, don’t worry—any household oil (like coconut or olive oil) works in a pinch!

Step 2: Slide

Take your cuticle stick and gently work it under the edge of your gel. Start at the side of the nail, where it’s easiest to get a little lift. Apply more oil if necessary, and keep going until the nail is off.

PRO tip: go slowly, and don't skimp out on oil!

In a pinch

If you don't have access to a cuticle stick, or if the nail is still very adhered, you can use your fingers to tug the nail off. But be careful! If you don't use enough oil, this could damage your nail.

Pro tip: never remove without oil - it can damage the top layer of your nail.
